Weekly Digest November 29 — December 5
From space-rock to post black, from post-punk to blackened death metal, and even to Christmas pop-punk – that’s how we move today in our Weekly Digest!
Failure — Wild Type Droid
Failure's new space / alternative rock album "Wild Type Droid", the band's third album since the reunion. It echoes their cult (though not very commercially successful) album "Fantastic Planet" of 1996, their last album before an almost 15 years break. Here, too, the history of space travel is told, there are also interesting soundscapes and music solutions. If you are not familiar with this band – I advise you to first appreciate "Fantastic Planet".

Full Bush — Movie Night
All female noise rock/post-punk band from Philadelphia presents the second EP. According to the participants, the album "Movie Night" is about the old apartment where one of them lived, and about long night walks home, about phone calls in the middle of the night that mean something is wrong, about dysphoria, about lost vapes, about trips to Florida, about a conversation with an inner child, about a vampire movie that was touching, about too much alcohol, about how love can be your savior but can also make you feel lost. About changes. It is personal and very cool.

Genoсide Pact — s/t
"You turn on the news and see mass shootings, a global pandemic, endless war, and corporations and politicians trying to sell you bull**it. You pick up your phone and another friend or family member has died. On top of that, you’re broke as **ck and work endlessly for a boss that doesn’t even know your name. You find yourself paranoid, pi**ed off, and embracing nihilism" – Tim Mullaney says.
New Found Glory — December’s Here
After that, you need something a little positive. Floridian pop punk / easycore band New Found Glory congratulates us on the start of winter and holiday season. Get a Christmas tree, holiday lights, buy gifts and be kind to each other.

Of Mice & Men — Echo
"Our new album "Echo" is the definitive collection of our self-produced home-recordings, spanning through 2020-2021, which offer a profound look into our lives & the challenges we faced during a globally unprecedented time. It covers loss & growth, life & impermanence, love, & the infinite — how the most wonderful & most tragic parts of the human experience are deeply intertwined."

Rid Of Me — Traveling
Rid Of Me combine the melody and volume of shoegaze in their sound, elements of grunge and punk. The band consists of the bright representatives of the hardcore punk scene in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, namely – Fight Amp, Anxiety Spiral, Low Dose, Legendary Divorce, and Soul Glo.
So Hideous — None But a Pure Heart Can Sing
So Hideous (formerly known as So Hideous, My Love ...) is a quintet from New York that plays post-black metal. On their fourth full-length album we will have more orchestral arrangements, non-standard musical solutions, the album sounds triumphant, inspiring, listening to it you feel like winning. Excellent production (I would like to single out the sound of kick and drums in general), strong songwriting. If the album had been released earlier, it would have been in the tops, but it's time to cut salads.
